Salem Massachusetts is right up there with the very best smaller U.S. cities on the East Coast including Charleston, St. Augustine, Cape May, Savannah, East Hampton, New Hope, Annapolis, well you get the picture. Not only is the Witch City perfect for a spooky weekend getaway, it's also one of the top historical destinations in the country with hundreds of attractions to learn about some of the very first settlers of this land we call home. This is the 3rd vlog of a 3 part series where we really go in depth and explore Salem's haunts, restaurants, shops, and even the Hocus Pocus filming locations! And boy are there a lot. We also give you a tour of the very charming and beautiful Merchant Hotel located right in the heart of the city and trek out to the most amazing Hammond Castle outside of Gloucster, Mass! Did anyone say Salem Witch Trials? Yea we thought so. Many of the sites we check out have direct ties with the tragic 1692 trials that imprisoned over 200 innocent individuals and executed 20 of those. For them, there now stands a beautiful memorial in the heart of the Charter Street Historic District. We can't say enough about how perfectly fitting this city is to our own personalities and how much we love coming back here as often as possible! So enjoy as we traventure the streets of this Halloween town beware of the magic that hides behind every corner. Enjoy. P.S.
