So here's the story. I accidentally beat this boss using Zanmato (I wasn't even hoping it would work), so I ended up fighting him after some of the Dark Aeons when I had better stats. This used to be the hardest boss in the original version. He has a fixed pattern so you need to know his attacks. He can do either a physical attack, or a special attack in the following order: Ethereal Cannon, Ultra Spark, scripted physical then back to Ethereal Cannon. He has an hidden counter where the special attacks add 2 points and physical attacks 3 points. When he reaches 20 he does the Armageddon move. Ultra Spark and Armageddon wipe the whole party, make sure you casted Auto Life on everyone before he does them, or use a summon to tank the attack. If you think this fight is boring, wait until you see Penance.
