I recorded this live at Team Musicare in a single take because the old standards just feel better when they’re sung honestly rather than polished to perfection. You’ll notice a couple of moments where the vocal mic peaks slightly, and near the end you can faintly hear the backing track in the room. That isn’t editing. It’s simply the studio mic picking up a real performance in a real space. No pitch correction and no re-takes. These songs were written to be performed, not perfected, and I wanted to share it exactly as it happened.
