KEO Films has become one of the country's leading independent production companies since it was set up 15 years ago. In that time, River Cottage has gone from being a cottage by a river to become an international brand, while the documentary team have produced films all over the world from the Arctic to the Sahara, the Amazon to the Atacama Desert. After 12 episodes of Going to Extremes, they stopped taking white male presenters to remote corners of the world places, and in the BAFTA nominated Meet the natives, brought five South Pacific Islanders to the UK instead. They then followed Amish teenagers in Amish: World's Squarest Teenagers, and a unique portrait of modern urban living in the multi-award winning Welcome to Lagos. Meanwhile Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's food campaigns have become more and more influential, first with chickens and then more recently his Fish Fight, which looks set to change EU fishing policy. Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), made with Banksy, was nominated for the documentary Oscar this year. Hamish Mykura meets a company with a mission, to talk about fish fights, medicine men and Amish adventures. Filmed by Sheffield Hallam University students and edited by Dave Holloway.
