Laer Cú Beleg from The Children of Húrin | Original Composition

This song in particular has a bit of a story behind it... My friend and I always role-played as the characters from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, The Children of Húrin. One day, she came up to me and asked if I could write music for Beleg's death. She went to the piano, played a few notes, and then stopped. I took what she had played and turned it into the arrangement it is now. I did include the melody from the Scottish Gàdhlig song, Ann an Caolas Od Odrum, in it, beginning around 2 minutes in. I also tried to imitate a hunting horn in the beginning and then throughout the entire piece. I hope you enjoyed and I intend to record and upload more Tolkien inspired music in the future.
