This week on PBC Jabs we check in with undefeated heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder and we recognize featherweight champ Abner Mares for giving back to the community. The heavyweight division is one of the most talked about weight classes at the moment, and one of the names that is frequently thrown in the mix is Deontay Wilder. This week we thought we’d check in with the WBC heavyweight champ himself to see what’s next for him. Four-time champion and WBA featherweight champ Abner Mares wants to give children the opportunity to excel in the classroom, so last week Mares hosted a backpack giveaway for children in the Los Angeles area to get these kids hooked up with supplies before the school year begins. After the event Mares posted to social media, “Over 200 backpacks were passed out to these wonderful kids who are champions and the future!” That’s all for this episode of PBC Jabs.
