The new generation of the WXD 2 series soldering and desoldering stations and the WXDP 120 desoldering iron revolutionise the technology of soldering. Up to two pistons can be connected to the station itself, independently of soldering or desoldering iron. The WXDP 120 desoldering iron model can reach an output of up to 120 watts. An extended nozzle shaft significantly reduces the chance of the suction tube clogging. Desoldering with the WXDP 120 works on the simple principle of melting and suction. The tip of the nozzle is placed on the metal that is to be removed. As soon as it begins to melt, it is sucked through the nozzle shaft into the tin cartridge. The tin cartridge can be replaced in a few easy steps, as it is only held in place by counterpressure - similar to the way a vice works. To do so, just pull the rear rod with the spring backwards and turn it anti-clockwise. The suction nozzle can also be changed during this time, it only needs to be unscrewed, replaced and closed again. This enables a more effective and efficient execution of the changing process. Another advantage of Weller soldering and desoldering stations of the WXD 2 series is the automatic stand-by mode. This not only saves energy, but also extends the life of the soldering tips. Even longer use of Weller WXD 2 Series soldering tips is made possible by the extended soldering tip life of up to 100 %.
