Before starting six straight 12-hour shifts at the hospital, I challenged myself to squeeze in bird photography every morning. Armed with my camera, I set out to capture the Manu-o-Kū (White Tern)—a beloved seabird of Honolulu—right in the middle of the city. Over the course of six days, I documented rare flyovers, intimate moments with chicks, and the daily challenge of balancing work with passion.
