Misty (violin tutorial)

Misty is a slow jazz ballad in the key of E flat. In this violin tutorial I show the basic melody, look at fingering and position changes, and then look at different ways to rephrase it. I try out a simplistic approach to improvisation, using the E flat major blues scale, and then demonstrate five different types of harmonic on the violin which enable a soft, intimate and breathy tone suitable for this type of ballad.
