Activmotion S DTO is a complete range of anatomical plates dedicated to corrections of the distal tibia and fibula, through opening and closing osteotomies whether via the medial, lateral, or anterolateral approach. This conservative surgery allows the mechanical axis of the arthritic ankle to be modified, transferring the mechanical load initially applied on the damaged areas of the joint to the healthy compartment of the ankle. The damaged cartilage is thus better preserved, which means the installation of a prosthesis can be delayed or an ankle arthrodesis can be performed.
