The science behind tracking greenhouse gas emissions

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our time, and understanding greenhouse gas emissions is key to tackling it. But how do scientists track emissions from across the globe? How can we improve the accuracy of climate data? PARIS, a groundbreaking Horizon Europe research project brings together 17 European partners to advance how we measure and analyse emissions. Using cutting-edge scientific approaches, data collaboration, and atmospheric modelling, PARIS is enhancing our knowledge of greenhouse gases and improving climate policy decisions. In this short film, we speak with experts from the UK Met Office and Bristol University, two key contributors to the project. They share insights on the power of international collaboration, and how Horizon Europe funding streams are making this crucial research possible.
