Easy DIY Noise Sources for the Korg Volca Modular If you'd like to support the channel you can grab a 'Pay What You Want' album from my Bandcamp. https://chrislody.bandcamp.com Chat to me on: @chrislodymusic.bsky.social Listen on: / chrislody Edit: Thanks to the viewer HurpADervish we now have a free custom noise generator for the NTS1! This eliminates the need to dial in the settings on the Nts1 and produces true noise rather than psudeo noise. You can find it here with a link to a YouTube demo: https://www.jabunaudio.com/news/intro... This tutorial is all about easy ways to add a noise source to the Volca Modular. There are lots of way to do this of course, these are just some of my favourites that fit alongside the Volca nicely and aren't going to break the bank too much. Btw I don't really have a decent camera that does a good job of the head shot style intro yet. This was shot on the same iPhone 5s which I didn't realise is 720p when front facing which is why it looks soft focus, I'm not really into that 'Murder She Wrote' look so I think I'll buy another camera. 0:00 Intro 0:50 Using a smartphone and the 'White Noise Lite' app as a noise source 3:50 Using a detuned radio as a noise source 5:58 Using the Korg Nts1 as a noise source Here is the ios and android versions of White Noise Lite: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/white-n... https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... #ChrisLody #Noise #VolcaModular #SoundDesign
