These things are cleverly designed to make sure they don't explode. Off camera, I did about 30 straight welds and nothing was even getting warm which indicates that the current was very low. With thin wires, it will probably reduce the welding current by 10 times and the reason why everything doesn't simply blow apart is because the pulse is way too short to do any damage. If you upgrade all the wires to 8AWG and use a less powerful battery, you'll get better results but you've got to be very careful and start at d01 (the lowest power setting). If I replaced all the wires with 8AWG and then used it at 100%, it wouldn't be working now, that's for sure. It probably wouldn't even be there 🤣🤣 I might buy another one to demonstrate how the thin wires act as a resistor and stop everything exploding. Anyway, this was the cheapest one I could find when I was having a night of madness. At the time, it's was £8.05 and free shipping but it's now gone up to £6.07 and £3.88 shipping. I've just discovered that there are also some hidden modes on this thing. If you hold the left button, it shows A-0. If you change this to A-1 by pressing the right button, it turns off the auto pulse function so you can attach a foot switch. If you press the left button again, it says P-1. If you change it to P-2, it does 2 pulses and P-3 does 3 pulses. It's always best to do a 'pre pulse' where it burns off all the oxides and crap from the nickel so I'd suggest changing it to P-2. Also, the right button works as an on-off if you hold it down. Why can't they include instructions? I still can't find any? https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCD...
