Eskers Lake Provincial Park Day Trip - 2021 Northern Ontario Camping Escape - Ep 5

On Day 5 of our Northern Ontario Camping Escape, we ventured north on a day trip to Eskers Lake Provincial Park. Using our camping pass from Kap-Kig-Iwan we got to check out Eskers Lake for free. At the park, we had lunch in a covered pavilion near the beach, went for a canoe ride and then hiked the Lonesome Bog Trail. The trail was about 1.5 kilometres in length with many informative signs along the way. The path was easy and very enjoyable. We saw a beaver, jack pines, black spruce, lots of moss, Labrador Tea, and pitcher plants. Half way around the loop we listened to a symphony of birds (possibly Hermit Thrush). There was a lot packed into such a small trail.
