Perched on the Aleomandra hill in Mykonos, this open space house tour of Villa Mandra offers a breathtaking view of the sea and the sunset over Delos Island. Despite being mostly concealed from sight, this 6-bedroom vacation home was designed for a vibrant couple and their loved ones to revel in. Its remarkable panorama is showcased from a well-integrated, earthy garden encased by stone walls, which provide a shield from the road behind it. The concept behind the house revolves around embracing a relaxed and unhurried summer lifestyle, promoting harmonious bonding with loved ones and the serenity of coexisting with the natural world. Instead of prioritizing practicality, the design focuses on evoking emotions. Each area of the house presents a chance to unwind, contemplate, and discover new experiences. In order to ensure that guests could enjoy the outdoors all day long, we aimed to mitigate the intense climate by incorporating shade and shelter. We also strived to design a house that could accommodate numerous guests without overbearing the natural surroundings with excessively large structures.
