Dog Falls in Glen Affric is a lovely place where you can enjoy paddling in the river water, sit on a rock and take in the scenery or go on a scenic walk in the surrounding woodlands. The waterfall is in a tight bend in the river, and even though it’s not massive, you feel the power of the water when you get close. They say the waterfall was named after the hind legs of a dog due to its shape. But there’s another tradition that mentions a dog-shaped boulder in the river. Well, I couldn’t make out the shape of the waterfall much, but I think I did spot a giant puppy resting on its front legs.
