𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑴𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑴𝒚 𝑯𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝑬𝒏𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏? An enucleation is a surgical procedure used to remove an eye. There are several reasons a horse might need this procedure, but it is most commonly performed to alleviate pain from a problematic eye or to address an eye condition that does not respond to medical treatment. The procedure is typically done with the horse standing under sedation, using local anesthesia and regional nerve blocks to ensure the animal does not feel pain and to minimize movement of the eye and eyelids during surgery. Once the eye is removed, the incision is closed and a bandage is applied. Horses are known to adapt remarkably well to living with just one eye. Being pain-free allows many of them to continue with some ridden activities, depending on their temperament. Songs by TELL YOUR STORY music by ikson™ Link: https://ikson.com/tell-your-story
