2017 KTM Duke 390 Review | 300 KM Road Test | RWR Intro shot using Zhiyun Smooth Q: http://amzn.to/2pHUS5Q Hey this Rahul and how is it going everyone, over the last weekend I covered over 300 km on the 2017 KTM Duke 390, we rode it in city, highway and also did some cornering tests pushing the bike as much as I could, when it comes to the KTM Duke 390, I speak with experience. I know it's making that same 43.5 BHP of power with an increased torque of 37 NM @7000 RPM, which is just a shade higher than the 35 Nm of the previous version. But all that fairing, and body work along with the new Euro 4 compliant side slung exhaust has made the motorcycle gain 10 extra kg of weight and that should affect the performance. But that is just theoretical. In reality, the motorcycle doesn't feel any less powerful, in fact because of the new throttle by wire with very little throttle angle, the bike delivers a power which is instantaneous and feels to have a stronger punch in the low and midrange over the previous version. I also feel they have changed the engine mapping to give the motorcycle a bit more grunt in lower revs and the engine seems to have a different power delivery than the RC390 which I also tested earlier. The power on the RC came on smoother but the Duke 390 still gives that Hooligan feel in the first gear acceleration but they have managed to tame the initial jerk a bit. Simply put, this is more fun.
