Welcome to my DIY electronics project tutorial! In this video, I'll show you how to build an automatic day-night sensor using an IRFZ44N MOSFET, an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), a solar panel, and a Li-ion battery. This circuit can automatically turn on a load (like an LED or relay) when it gets dark and turn it off when it's light again, all powered by renewable energy! What You'll Learn: Components needed for the project How an LDR works Basics of using an IRFZ44N MOSFET How to integrate a solar panel and Li-ion battery Step-by-step instructions to build the circuit Practical applications for this sensor Components Required: IRFZ44N MOSFET Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) Resistors (10kΩ to 100kΩ) Solar Panel Li-ion Battery Battery Charging Module Breadboard and connecting wires Power supply Load (e.g., LED) Circuit Explanation: The LDR changes its resistance based on the light intensity. We use it in a voltage divider circuit to create a varying voltage signal that controls the gate of the IRFZ44N MOSFET. When the light level drops below a certain threshold, the MOSFET switches on, allowing current to flow through the load, thus turning it on. Conversely, when it's bright, the MOSFET remains off, keeping the load turned off. The solar panel charges the Li-ion battery during the day using a battery charging module. The stored energy in the Li-ion battery powers the circuit, making it self-sustaining and environmentally friendly.
