‘Elevated’ security threat level in Qatar

Qatar’s Interior Ministry has just sent out a new alert on mobile phones, saying the security threat level has been “elevated” and telling residents to “remain indoors”. It is the second such alert to be sent out today. Meanwhile, The United Arab Emirates Ministry of the Interior says the country’s air defences are responding to a missile threat. “Please remain in a safe place and follow the warnings and updates on official websites,” it urged people in a social media post.
