Three members of an IPC Christian family were brutally murdered in Odisha after returning from Sunday worship. The victims — Jitender Soren (35), his wife (32), and their 13-year-old daughter Smita — were allegedly killed by close relatives who opposed their conversion to Christianity and demanded they leave the village. Church leaders state the family had faced ongoing threats for refusing to participate in traditional rituals after becoming Christians. While police have registered the case as a property dispute, the church maintains the killings were driven by religious hostility. Two surviving children escaped and are now under church protection.
