Vestax PDX 2000 MIDImod

This is my modded PDX 2000 turntable. It receives MIDI notes from any MIDI controller. The MIDImod is soldered into the PDX and it translates MIDI into a controlled voltage, which then controls the speed of the turntable motor. I only have a MPD32 and a foot controller at the moment which both don't fit between turntable and mixer. So I used the touchable app on my iPad as a keyboard and Ableton Live does the MIDI routing through the M-Audio FireWire 410, which then finally sends the dialed MIDI note to the PDX 2000. The MIDImod is not based on my work, I only did the soldering. The program, schematic and part list comes from Henrik, a nice and friendly fella from Sweden. But this roller coaster won't stop here. I still need a pitch bend, and also the full 3-4 octave range that you get when you switch from 33 rpm to 45 rpm. I plan to rewrite Henrik's program so that these functions will be possible in the future. Subscribe please if you want to follow the evolution of this wonderful hack.
