The Lakhimpur Kheri incident in which eight people, including four farmers, were killed after violence erupted during a farmers' protest, has stirred up a storm, with the Opposition attempting to enter the Uttar Pradesh town to meet the kin of the victims. The incident, that took place on Sunday, has come under attack from the Opposition as farmers' outfits have claimed that a car ferrying Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra's son Ashish ran over a group of protesters.
