Sylvanie Beukes has boundless entrepreneurial energy, which has led him to learn a number of important lessons at a relatively young age. Here he tells about how not to build a business. This talk was made at the "Creating a Mindset for Growth and Development" conference co-organised as part of the Journey to Excellence (J2Ex) Program by Mapili (Germany) and Compagnie Miangaly Théâtre, ISCAM, and Kentia Holding (all from Madagascar), in Antananarivo, Madagascar in September 2014. Short bio Following studies in economics, Mr. Beukes began working with community groups on local enterprises that improve the living standards of rural communities in Namibia. He recently published his first book, New Money Masters, and is working with small scale miners in Namibia to improve their mining conditions through targeted intervention strategies. In addition, he is a business consultant helping others realize there business dreams. Mr. Beukes has appeared in TV commercials, and does motivational speaking. Après des études d’économie, M.
