Have played many remarkable guitars in the last few years but this Euro Spruce/Indian Rosewood Bristlecone model by Mark Blanchard definitely stood out to me at the recent La Connor Guitar Festival in WA. Very mature sound for a brand new guitar with fat trebles and great fretted sustain to boot. I was thrilled when he requested a few video clips and professional photos. This guitar is the perfect example of standard tonewoods sounding exceptional in the hands of the right builder. I also love how Mark builds his guitars in such a way that you feel no edges - the neck profile feels very welcoming and the body bindings are rounded to give a nice feel all over the guitar. An extra perk is the Manzer wedge on this guitar makes the body depth less where the right arm sits which provides a comfortable playing experience for longer playing sessions.
