Hi! My name is Mary, and today I will be walking you through getting started with an Adobe Portfolio website. So without further ado, let’s get started: The first thing I am going to do is visit the adobe portfolio website: portfolio.adobe.com. Then, I will click on the “get started free” button to create my new website. Once I click the “get started free” button, I will see a new screen featuring theme options. I also see a button towards the top with two options: ‘full portfolio’, and ‘welcome page’. A welcome page is a simple, single website page that is often used to display basic information such as contact information. However, since I am more interested in creating a fully realized portfolio website, I am going to select “Full Portfolio”. Now I am able to browse and select available themes for my website. Each theme will provide a different feel and look to my website. To get a better idea of what each theme may look like, I can preview them by clicking on them. Although all themes could be used to create great portfolio websites, some may be better suited for certain types of content than others. For example, if you are planning to display high-resolution photography, you may want to select a theme that displays full-width images like Lina. If you are planning to incorporate lots of text and written components, maybe a theme like Marta would fit your work better. You can easily change your theme at any time, so I recommend experimenting until you find one that is the perfect fit for you and your content! For the sake of this demo, I am going to select Marina. To use Marina as my website theme, I am simply going to click on the theme, and then click the “Use this Theme” button at the top. Now you can see that I have a blank canvas to use as a website, and I am in a great place to begin adding my content.
