Trains on CN's Missabe Sub - November 2023

Between November 1st and 5th, a couple of friends and I took a trip to Minnesota's Iron Range. This videos is specific to catches we made on the Missabe Sub which has several trains a day. Ore and limestone trains are fairly frequent, running between the docks at Duluth and the mines up north. We had also seen a few manifest trains that came off of the Superior Sub to run North on the Missabe. We started our day at CN's Proctor Yard just outside of Duluth each morning to get an idea of where things were and what power sets were different from the previous day. We also had ATCS which was a huge help. Between Proctor and Duluth is Proctor Hill, which is a very steep grade in and out of the docks. We didn't have much luck catching any ore trains with EMD's coming up the hill unfortunately, but caught one limestone train with two GE's early in the morning heading back to Proctor, as seen at 9:30.
