I'm on a journey to the Chūgoku region, aiming for both the San'in and Sanyō areas, and I've now traveled from Tokyo to Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. The last time I visited was in October 2021, so it’s been exactly three years. I was wondering if the area in front of Tajimi Station had always looked the way it does now, and it turns out that a redevelopment project was completed. The new pedestrian deck and multi-level parking probably explain the changes. From the station, I walked through Nagase Street shopping district and continued to the Tajimi Ginza Shopping Street, which still has an arcade.
