Full Thickness Resection of Appendiceal Orifice using Ovesco FTRD

69 y.o. woman referred for FTRD resection of a sessile serrated adenoma involving the appendiceal orifice identified by her primary gastroenterologist on recent colonoscopy. Partial endoscopic resection confirming pathology was performed by the referring physician who was able to resect the majority of the lesion, however the adenomatous tissue was found extending into the appendiceal orifice. This video demonstrates complete full thickness resection of the appendiceal orifice using Ovesco FTRD colonic device. Patient had no pain post-procedure, and was discharged home on 5 days of antibiotics for prophylaxis.
