Right at this moment, our automotive wind tunnel was essential in optimizing the most famous & successful race car of the time: the legendary Silberpfeil W154. Manfred Behr pioneered this breakthrough facility just one year earlier in 1937. It was the world’s first wind tunnel for the automotive industry, right here in Stuttgart, Feuerbach. The first of its kind met one of a kind 85 years ago. And our Pioniergeist didn’t stop there. Today, the facility is still around as a cutting-edge MAHLE climatic wind tunnel. Here, the entire vehicle’s performance and efficiency can be put to test under extreme conditions.
