Course: ENDOSCOPIC SINUS SURGERY COURSE Module 3: Advanced Rhinology. Topic 5: Vidian Neurectomy. Dr Troy Woodard’s session on performing a Vidian neurectomy. Dr Woodard is a Professional Staff Surgeon at the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Dr. Woodard graduated from The John Hopkins School of Medicine in 2003 and attended Loyola University for his Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency training. Following his otolaryngology residency, Dr. Woodard pursued additional clinical training as a fellow in Advanced Rhinology and Sinus Surgery at Medical College of Georgia. Currently, he practices Rhinology, Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. His specialty interests include acute and chronic sinonasal disease, CSF leak repairs, and benign and malignant anterior skull base neoplasms. He is currently Co–director of the Advanced Rhinology, Sinus and Skull base fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. Originally presented on 11th Dec 2020 -session 22, as part of the GR-ESS 2020 event, a two day event covering all aspects of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (day 1 – 11th Dec 2020) and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery (day 2 – 12th Dec 2020). Global Rhinology Network is a registered academic non-profit organisation with a mission to foster surgical training in the field of Rhinology and Skull Base surgery. The concept of the organisation has evolved through an annual international live surgical webcast. The LIONESS established by Mr. Ashok Rokade with the strong support of participating surgeons in association with the lauded LION foundation. Prof. Christos Georgalas, Prof. Wilko Grolman, Dr. Robert Vincent, and Mr. John Oates were instrumental to see the LIONESS take-off in 2014 and to reach surgeons from more than 40 countries.
