July Garden Harvest~ Walk the Early Summer Garden and Harvest Some Homegrown Food With Me

I can hardly believe it is mid-July, but the garden certainly shows it. Today we are harvesting some Summer crops---cucumbers, tomatillos, squash, etc---and checking out how the garden is growing. While we are battling some powdery mildew from the June gloom, there are still a lot of plants enjoying the recent heat and really starting to ripen. Southern California has a very long warm season, so there will be many future harvests of Summer crops like melons, corn, and peppers to come--- but I wanted to share the state of the garden currently.
