"The Messiah..." Roy Buchanan/Gary Moore tribute

"The Messiah Will Come Again" - This honest tribute cover is based on a Roy Buchanan live version (Played here on a Line6 Variax "Telecaster" setting) also, with a hint of Gary Moore's distorted sound (Variax "Les Paul" setting) Having decided to take this challenge, I listened to Gary Moore's version twice! Then I found Roy!! I began to watch him play & thought his style would be easier to master... But then he started doing things I totally unexpected!!! What had I let myself in for??? Well, after a few nights of sweaty guitar playing, getting a blister on the side of my pick thumb, & losing all sensitivity on the end of one finger (it doesn't seem to be healing a week later) I think I've captured the feeling of the piece, even without being able to master all the brilliant techniques Roy used (Mick Ronson's solo on David Bowie's 'Moonage Daydream' is one example of Buchanan's influence which came to my mind when I first heard "The Messiah...") This was a challenge I'm glad I took (Thanx to Kay). It forced me to play piano, & on the guitar, improvising sometimes, I almost sound like I know what I'm doing! :o)
