A great timeless track from J. D. Crowe's 1978 album "My Home Ain't In the Hall of Fame," his first album to feature his new lead vocalist, a young up-and-coming bluegrass singer and former member of Ralph Stanley's Clinch Mountain Boys by the name of Keith Whitley. When Keith joined the New South, J. D. took their sound in a whole new direction and, one can safely say, as a result, created a whole new genre of music which came to be known as "newgrass," which is characterized by being too country for country but too progressive for straight-ahead bluegrass. This is a slide show I put together for the song which features scenes from the beautiful state of Tennessee. This is dedicated to my friend Shawn (7ABBA7).
