Today in sunny San Diego we have a very special patient, a 40 year old Complex Foot Surgeon from the Navy who traveled all the way from Nebraska! He has been suffering with low left sided back pain with intermittent muscle spasms. He typically enjoys a very active life of walking, running, hiking, weightlifting and my favorite...GOLFING, but has been unable to enjoy these activities due to his pain! Despite trial of various non-operative treatments his pain has continued thus we have decided to proceed with surgery. So instead of doing a big fusion on a young and active patient, we will do this surgery as minimally invasively as possible via the Laser Endoscopic Technique (LESS Surgery) and get him back to his busy life, so wish us luck!!! . . .
