Winter blues can gently pull our energy inward, bringing heaviness, low mood, and a sense of disconnection. This therapeutic art practice is an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself through creative expression. Art offers a safe, non-verbal way to process emotions that are often difficult to name. Through simple, intuitive mark-making and presence with colour and texture, we allow the nervous system to settle and the inner world to be expressed without pressure or judgment. Creative expression plays a vital role in mental health and wellbeing. It supports emotional regulation, reduces stress, and helps restore a sense of meaning, agency, and connection to self, especially during the darker months. This practice is not about making something “beautiful” but about creating space for whatever is alive within you to be felt, witnessed, and gently transformed. This session is suitable for anyone experiencing low mood, emotional fatigue, or a desire for grounding and self-compassion during winter. No artistic experience is needed. Simply come as you are.
