Today on BouGear, thanks to Sir Ganas, Plem had the opportunity to venture into the TC world and to experiment their rackmount parametric EQ model: Ze TC 1140. From the very first moments, I immediately felt that I had an incredibly powerful tool at hand. I had fun testing it with my Mesa Boogie Mark IV - Version A. I plugged the TC 1140 into the Mark IV's effects loop, of course disabling the Mesa Boogie's built-in graphic EQ. Finally, I enjoyed comparing the sound rendering between the TC 1140, the Mesa's graphic EQ and the neutral sound without EQ. Afterwards, I skimmed through the multiple knobs and adjustments by playing a bit of a mess (haha... sorry). I quickly realized that I was missing some knowledge about the frequency ranges, their impacts, but more precisely the interaction aspect between the different frequencies when the bandwidth are a bit too wide. In short, it was very enjoyable as well as captivating/enriching! I hope you have as much fun as I did 😉 (I doubt it 😋 ). A big thank you to Ganas! Maybe a huge capsule with this tool will be released during 2023, that is a big boosts/overdrive comparison in front of a saturated channel... because yes yes, this tool can also be used as a BOOST 😮! Rock On! Gear On! TC On!
