Enjoy this rare novelty single from the 1950s of the "Foot Foot" song, sung by Ray Bolger (who you may know as the Scarecrow from "Wizard of Oz")! The song was released as a 45 in 1951 on Decca Records as part of their children's series with a B-side titled "I'm Glad I'm Not a Rubber Ball". You may recognize this tune from Papa Goat and the Foot Foot Rabbits' performance in Bob Baker Marionette Theater's production of "Something to Crow About". When making a new marionette, Bob Baker was often first influenced by a song. We speculate that Ray Bolger and his famous bouncy dance style inspired the springs in the Foot Foot marionettes, making them extra bouncy and magical. The Foot Foot marionettes are currently up for adoption! If you'd like to sponsor their continued care for one full year, visit www.BobBakerMarionetteTheater.com/adopt-a-puppet for more information. Thank you!
