Radical SR4 Vs Gloria C8P Evo, 2020 Bologna-Raticosa HillClimb Virtual Comparison, Motorbike Engines

During the 2020 edition of the Bologna-Raticosa Hillclimb, I had the pleasure of filming some prototypes in the E2-SC class. Specifically, I virtually compared the Radical SR4 driven by Remo Decarli and Federico Liber's Gloria C8P Evo. Very light cars, usually around 500-600Kg, both have motorcycle-derived engines. The Radical RS4 typically uses the 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder powerplant of the Kawasaki ZZR1200. There are several versions; some have 1,500cc displacements equipped with the Hayabusa unit. The powers are very variable, from 190hp-210hp of the smallest engine up to over 250hp with the larger-displacement unit. The Gloria C8P Evo prototype also follows the same Radical philosophy with the use of motorcycle-type engines. Among the possible choices we find that of the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and Hayabusa (up to 1500 cc), Kawasaki ZX-10 and ZX-14, Yamaha R1 injection and the powers can exceed 225hp. The transmission is a chain with pinion and crown, Torsen or Self-locking differential and 6-speed sequential gearbox. These are very fast and spectacular cars to see, especially in Hillclimb. They start one after the other and so I decided to film them also in "virtual comparison" mode. Obviously nothing technical and no timekeeping, just a simple visual examination of the cars taken in the same position and several points. Enjoy! 😉 Durante l'edizione 2020 della cronoscalata Bologna-Raticosa ho avuto il piacere di filmare alcuni prototipi in classe E2-SC. Nello specifico ho messo virtualmente a confronto la Radical SR4 pilotata da Remo Decarli e la Gloria C8P Evo di Federico Liber. Vetture molto leggere, solitamente intorno ai 500-600Kg montano entrambe motori di derivazione motociclistica. La Radical RS4 solitamente utilizza il propulsore da 1.2-Litri, 4 cilindri, della Kawasaki ZZR1200. Esistono diverse versioni, alcune hanno cilindrate da 1.500cc equipaggiate con l'unità della Hayabusa. Le potenze sono molto variabili, dai 190cv-210cv del motore più piccolo fino ad oltre 250cv con l'unità di cilindrata maggiore. Anche il prototipo barchetta Gloria C8P Evo ricalca la stessa filosofia Radical con l'impiego di propulsoridi tipo motociclistico. Tra le scelte possibili troviamo quello della Suzuki GSX-R 1000 e Hayabusa (fino a 1500 cc), Kawasaki ZX-10 e ZX-14, Yamaha R1 iniezione e le potenze possono superare i 225cv. La trasmissione è a catena con pignone e corona , differenziale tipo Torsen o Autobloccante e cambio sequenziale a 6 rapporti. Sono vetture molto veloci e spettacolari da vedere, specialmente in cronoscalata. Partivano una dietro l'altra e quindi ho deciso di filmarle anche in modalità "confronto virtuale". Ovviamente niente di tecnico e nessuna rilevazione cronometrica, solo un semplice esame visivo delle auto riprese nella stessa posizione ed in più punti.
