On this episode, we deep drop the west coast of Grenada and Kick 'Em Jenny Volcano. Nobody in Grenada fishes for the monsters of the deep that lurk just offshore. I've never seen anything like this place. It's a deep drop fisherman's paradise. Giant snowy grouper, huge yelloweye, and golden tile fish are found throughout the deep ecosystems that surround the island. This is a place every serious angler should add to their bucket list. Capt. Clinton Bailey of FV Irish Cream and first mate Godfrey are absolute beauties who know the deep water of Grenada better than anyone i've ever met. We used whole squid on almost every drop and managed to hook into a big snowy in over 1000 ft. of water before 9:00 am. The mid day bite slowed down a bit with only a few decent yelloweye and other snapper around the volcanic rim. I lost a fish that could only be another Warsaw as well. I hooked into some behemoth in just over 1100 ft. of water, and it bulldogged me into the ground for about 5 mintues before the hook finally pulled. We finished the day by landing a roudi escolar and an atlantic scombrop (gnomefish), both rare and delicious catches of the abyss. We took the haul to a great spot in town called VICTORY bar and grill for some authentic coal BBQ grilled grouper. Can't wait to go back in summer when the water and wind are dead calm and the monster grouper will be waiting for us! Videography and Editing: Taylor Campbell
