Some of the most incredible days of bear hunting for me are in Alberta and I owe it all to John and Jenn Rivet for all their hard work, and the amazing remote country they call home and hunt. Giant old bear don't follow scripts. They do what they want, when they want and move a lot, usually in the dark of night. There are a ton a bear in this wild country of Alberta, and it's amazing hunting. But, just like when deer hunting, yes you could probably tag a younger animal pretty easy assuming you can make a good bow shot, however, giant boars like l'm after, that might be 20 or more years old...whole different game. To think otherwise is silly. The biggest bear I arrowed on this last trip, Scarface, had never been seen by a hunter at a bait. Ever. And, he was at least a decade old.
