Exhibition: September 26 - October 2, 2014 Galerie d'Art Viva Vida presents Sketches from a Life in Film, Art and Community by Colin Low The sketches and creations of celebrated Canadian documentary filmmaker Colin Low go on public display for the first time at the Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe-Claire Village (September 26-Oct 2, 2014)—the weeklong exhibition features a vernissage and screenings. The art on display represents some six decades of creative output by the pioneering NFB filmmaker, artist and animator known for his contribution to such endeavors as Expo 67’s Labyrinth pavilion, the ground-breaking science film “Universe” (1960) and the spearheading of IMAX 3D as a vital new cinema medium. “Colin Low: Sketches from a Life in Film, Art and Community” features works in oil, watercolor, ink and mixed media, as well as two screenings of select films directed at the National Film Board.
