4 Hanggliding Pilots Top Landed at Mission Peak 2019-03-08

It was a wonderful Friday to fly Mission Peak, four pilots had great flight and they all top landed after their fingers got frozen cold in the air. I arrived at the parking lot at 12:25PM. Jim Bowe and Takeo were already there. Later Peter and Soham showed up. We loaded 5 gliders to Jim's truck. The weather was not very stable, sometimes the wind was 22+MPH, sometimes it dies down to 15MPH. I decided to NOT setup/fly. The rest of the crew continued setup. After all the glider were setup, we continued waited 1+ hour until Peter decided to go. Kevin was the wire assistant. Peter flew about 30-40 minutes and top landed. His finger was red and cold. However the wind is very smooth up in the air. Delighted by Peter's flight, everyone else jumped into their harness and all launched in 15 minutes. Takeo and Jim went to the LZ and both came back to the launch. They all have fun in the air, there were lift EVERYWHERE!!!! Takeo top landed on the back side of the slope. Then Jim tried to top land, but the lift was so great that carried him all the way back to the cliff so he bailed the first landing attempt and few minutes later, retried and landed. Soham came in for top landing as well with higher altitude. He managed to burn off all these altitude by flying further back as well as flying a steep turn to lose altitude. He landed uphill as well, similar to Takeo's uphill approach. In the end, I didn't fly, but I really really enjoyed the day. ====== I spent 5+ hours cannot connect my iPhone to my outdated iMac (OS El Captain). So I was forced to do the video editing on iPhone with iMovie. Then I found it is super easy to edit movies on iPhone with iMovie! Usually I will put captions on the video cause I don't want to speak in the video as a non-native speaker. However I cannot find a way to add caption with iMovie, so I was forced to add audio recording to explain the scenes. In the end, I think I like the audit addition. Next time I may draft my wording first, then just read it through to make my voice clear for audience.
