Episode 5 of Underground Revisited comes from the Jubilee Line originally filmed on Thursday November 21st 2019. Filmed at London Bridge, Southwark, Waterloo and Westminster stations Original Videos Jubilee Line Trains on November 21st 2019 • Jubilee Line Trains on November 21st 2019 Also featured on Jubilee Line Extension 20th anniversary Special • Jubilee Line Extension - 20th Anniversary ... So at the time the year 2019 was a key milestone for the Jubilee Line marking it's 40th year since opening on May 1st 1979 however that year was another milestone the 20th year of the Jubilee Line Extension which up until March 2008 was the most modern underground project since the Piccadilly Line extension to Heathrow Central todays Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 in December 1977 and the construction of the loop via Terminal 4 in March 1986. Now a year prior in 2018 I had already filmed at all 27 stations on the line from January 7th 2018 to September 9th 2018 The JLE I covered on March 23rd 2018 in 2 parts. So at the time similar to the District Line 150th anniversary special I filmed in December 2018 I thought to make a video filming at all 11 stations on the Jubilee Line Extension between Stratford and Westminster as a special to mark the 20th anniversary of the JLE. Now I had already filmed the first 7 stations from Stratford to Bermondsey with Canary Wharf and Bermondsey stations been done separately on February 3rd and July 14th 2019 respectively with the other 5 stations done on September 29th 2019. As for filming this time being on Thursday Afternoon and then Thursday evening rush hour was much more challenging. So the question some might ask if I had done these stations before why redo them well to put it this way at the time although my video from March 23rd 2018 Part 2 filmed at the time between Bermondsey and Westminster although would go on to become my most viewed video to date so far however there were a few mistakes when rotating as the train leaves was a bit too fast. Now the Platform Edge Doors yes can be obstructive but actually it's not a big deal and as one person on my video from Canary Wharf back on February 3rd 2019 said the PEDs makes the station future proof. Of all the stations I would cover in this Waterloo inevitably was the most difficult based on layout of the platforms and obviously being a busy interchange.
