May 16th, 2025: A warm front had just positioned itself just north of downtown Saint Louis, Missouri Throughout the city, the air quickly became was thick, humid, and highly unstable At around this time, a man referred to as “Blue Moon” was driving through north Saint Louis when tornado sirens suddenly blared from his phone Just miles west of his current location, a massive, rain wrapped tornado was racing his direction at nearly 55 miles per hour Blue Moon immediately attempted to drive away from the rapidly approaching tornado in the distance As he frantically weaved through the crowded and narrow streets of north Saint Louis, the tornado only continued to grow closer and closer In an instant, the rain wrapped, nearly mile-wide tornado engulfed his vehicle and threw it into the air Moon’s car was rolled numerous times, with nearly all the car’s windows being shattered, and the roof being caved in After what felt like an eternity, his car finally came to rest; he was upside down, and his car was totaled, but he was miraculously still alive In just under 30 minutes, the significant tornado caused a staggering 1.6 billion dollars in damages, killed 5, injured 38 others, and left a mile-wide swath of destruction throughout the heart of one of the Midwest’s largest cities.
