Join Cindy and Rick at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center for a peaceful dulcimer duet! In this video, they are performing in the historic Wilder Chapel during their Winter Fest. The quiet, soulful atmosphere of the old chapel was the perfect setting for one of their favorite songs, "September on the Mississippi." Composer: Written by the talented Larry Conger. The Arrangement: Cindy is playing Larry Conger’s beautiful arrangement, while Rick (who plays by ear) provides his own unique harmony parts developed over years of playing this piece. The History: Rick first discovered this song at the annual East Tennessee Bowed Psaltery Gathering several years ago. It has since become a staple in our repertoire and a favorite at local jams.
