Donor Shield is a comprehensive suite of support and protections available to qualifying living kidney donors to make the donation process easier and more convenient. Donor Shield provides up to $30,000 in reimbursement for lost wages, travel and lodging costs, and dependent care expenses incurred due to living donation. It also offers protections including complications coverage, kidney prioritization, home blood draws, Donor Connect, voucher donation, remote donation, DNA-based kidney-matching technology, and legal support to fight donation-related discrimination.
