When it is soaked in e-liquid, the cotton absorbs the juice, so when the battery warms up the vape coil, the ejuice is vaporised. Are all vape coils the same? No, each vape kit tends to have a unique vape coil for their own device, this means, while some are compatible with one another, most aren't. If multi-device coil compatibility is important to you, then it's worth looking at the Nord and RPM Smok vape kit range, or the Aspire Nautilus coil friendly kits. How long do vape coils last before they need changing? This is a bit of a piece of string question and comes down to how long the coil is worked each day. It's not actually the coil that generally needs changing, it's the cotton inside it. The cotton starts to brown and disflavours the e-liquid. It also becomes a little clogged and vaporising becomes a bit tougher. As a rule, thicker vape liquids, such as High VG juices, when running at high powers tend to burn through coils in around 4-7 days. While more simple e-liquids, mouth to lung vape juice is less intensive on your vape coil and you should get 2-3 weeks from them.
