Lexus RX300 1999 - 2003 Bare Front Struts & Stabilizer Bar Links Replacement

This video will show you how I replaced the front struts and stabilizer bar links on a 2000 Lexus RX300. The replacement can be performed on 1999 to 2003 Lexus RX300 model years. The new struts are referred to as "bare struts" meaning they're absent the strut springs, spring cushion, upper spring seat, strut shaft dust boot, strut bumper, bearing and upper strut mount. These components appeared to be in good shape so I decided to keep and reuse them. I used four (4) spring compressors with safety pins in lieu of two. Using four makes it easier to make minor spring tension adjustments to center the strut shaft into the spring seat and upper strut mount as well as raising the strut shaft above the upper strut bearing easing alignment of the strut mount grooves with the strut shaft. It's always a good idea to replace the sway / stabilizer bar links with the new strut. They tend to wear out at the same rate of the struts. When they do wear out, the links will make noise when driving on uneven road surfaces.
