His Legacy and Passing On August 23, 2025, Joseph Wilson peacefully transitioned from this life at the age of 83. Homegoing Services The official arrangements reflected the reverence and honor with which his life was celebrated. On Friday, August 29, the community gathered as he lay in state from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, giving loved ones and congregants the chance to pay their final respects. That evening, at 7:00 PM, a musical tribute was held in his honor, filling the sanctuary with worship and thanksgiving through song—a fitting celebration for a man whose ministry was deeply tied to the power of music and praise. On Saturday, August 30, the homegoing continued with a Quiet Hour from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, offering a solemn time of reflection and prayer. This was followed at 1:00 PM by the grand Celebration of Life Service, where family, friends, and fellow believers joined together to honor his memory, rejoice in his eternal home, and share heartfelt tributes to his character and ministry. The Place of Farewell All services were held at Glorious Resurrection of Life Praise & Worship Ministries, located on Brooklyn Avenue in Lancaster, South Carolina. Within those walls, Joseph Wilson had worshipped, preached, and shepherded souls. It was only fitting that his life would be remembered and celebrated in the same sacred space where he had dedicated so much of himself to the service of God.
